Managed care has a bad reputation. Just last year, Anthem Blue Cross in CA was caught illegally dropping 2,300 people from coverage after they accrued large bills, and were fined $1 million. Given that, what kinds of questions might you have for L.A. Care, especially considering that they are an HMO (albeit a public one) for the poorest among us? Be sure to ask these questions during class!
